How did you get started in Swizzles?

I got the love of shelling from my mom, an activity we enjoy together. While rehabilitating from a broken foot – the swizzle was born-  I looked around for a drink stirrer and saw all of our shells and thought they would make the most beautiful bar accessories!

Favorite activity on Marco?

Shelling- duh!

Best kept secret on the island? 

Fin Bistro!  It’s hands down the best restaurant on Marco. It is family owned and they work so hard. It’s the best kitchen I’ve ever worked with (I’m a bartender there)– and the fish come in fresh every single day and it’s mostly local catches, never frozen.

Describe Marco in one word:

Magical! 

Best spot for sunset?

South Beach – along with a walk!

Are you a Summer escaper or a Summer enjoyer?

I love the summers on Marco. I love the quietness and the locals all come back out of hiding. More time to slow down and relax- to enjoy this beautiful place where we live.

One thing every tourist should know:

Wear sunscreen. It’s intense. 

Where can we find your adorable swizzles and accessories?

Always at Fin Bistro, and in season, I sell at the South Collier market on Fridays (at the old outlet’s mall on 951).
